Now that companies like Samsung and Apple are increasing the price range of flagship phones, there are still companies like Xiaomi that are offering feature rich phones with high-end specs at a pocket friendly price. One of the latest phones in this line from Xiaomi is the Xiaomi Mi 9. To learn more about this phone and the Xiaomi Mi 9 Cairo price, continue reading.
At first glance, it’s easy to confuse this phone as a Huawei phone thanks to its attractive holographic effect on the back. This effect is not visible on the Piano Black version but there are two other versions to choose from: Ocean Blue and Lavender Violet. There is a slight curve on the back making the phone really comfortable to hold. While the display is definitely not at par with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, it’s a vivid 6.39-inch display showing 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 403ppi of pixel density. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 but it’s not certified for dust or water resistance. Moreover, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack or microSD card slot but users get to choose from two different storage options: 64GB and 128GB.
Most of the phone companies nowadays are focusing on a triple camera setup with an ultrawide lens and the Xiaomi Mi 9 followed a similar path. There are three cameras on the back: the primary one is a gigantic 48-megapixel wide 27mm Sony sensor with f/1.8 aperture, one 16-megapixel 13mm ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and one 12-megapixel 54mm telephoto sensor with f/2.2 aperture. There are also attractive features like the Xiaomi Night mode and Moon mode to help users take attractive pictures even at night. As for the front camera, it’s also a good 20-megapixel one with f/2.0 aperture. The camera won’t satisfy users if they are planning to try phones like the Huawei P30 Pro or Google Pixel 3 XL, but it’s surprisingly good considering the Xiaomi Mi 9 Cairo price.
Another noteworthy feature of the Xiaomi Mi 9 is its processor which is the latest Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 7nm octa-core processor. It’s the latest chipset from Qualcomm and can be found in most of the latest high-end phones. This processor comes with an optional 6 or 8GB of RAM depending on the version you choose. Although the battery of this phone is small, a 3300mAh one, it can be charged really quickly thanks to the Quick Charge 4+ technology that comes with fast battery charging 27W support. A full charge will only take about 1 hour and 10 minutes using the 18W wired charger that comes with the phone. Some of the other notable features of this phone are: Android 9.0 Pie, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 port, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, fingerprint sensor under the display and fast wireless charging 20W.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is available now for about EGP 9400 at the moment. There is also the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 if you are looking for a phone with almost no bezel.
