There was a time when Samsung used to release rugged versions of their flagship phones targeted at business professionals or people who works in extreme conditions. Although it has been a while since we have seen a phone like that from the company, looks like they are not completely done making such phones. Keep reading to learn more about this new rugged phone from Samsung and the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro Cairo price.
While most of the rugged phones from Samsung included fat bezels and buttons under the display, this one is following the trend of bezel-less phones. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro comes with a 6.3-inch screen showing 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 409ppi of pixel density and covers 79.4% of the body. This phone is all about rugged ness and comes with MIL-STD-810G compliant protection, drop-to-concrete resistance and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. There is a fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It’s only available in black color and weighs about 179g which is not too much considering it’s a rugged phone designed to survive in tough environments. The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max weighs about 226g which makes the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro lighter.
Tough, durable phones are usually not known for their camera. However, the dual-camera setup that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro will get the job done. It’s a pair of cameras: one 25-megapixel 26mm wide sensor and one 8-megapixel 13mm ultrawide sensor. There is nothing surprising on the front camera either, a 13-megapixel wide camera that will support capturing 1080p videos at 30fps. If you are planning to rely heavily on your phone camera, it will be wise to check out the Samsung Galaxy S20 or Apple iPhone 11 Pro instead of this one. These are not in the same price range as the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro Cairo price but offers really great camera performance.
Almost all the phones available nowadays comes with a non-removable battery but this is where the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro is different. Users get a removable 4050mAh Li-Po battery that also supports fast charging. However, it’s only 15W fast charging and not 25W or 45W like we have seen in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite or the new Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. As the phone is designed for enterprise mobility, it comes with Knox security and various enterprise-focused software and business services. It’s also 5G ready and is packing an Exynos 9611 (10nm) octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage. There is also a microSD card slot so expanding space won’t be a problem. If you want a phone for regular usage but don’t want to spend too much money, there is the Xiaomi Poco X2 and Realme X2 you can check out.
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro is available now and will cost you about EGP 9000 .
