Asus Zenfone 4 Pro

Asus has recently unveiled not one but a half a dozen addition to its Zenfone smartphone lineup. One of the newest addition to this lineup is the Asus Zenfone 4 Pro. The previous generations of Zenfones did not include any Pro version and this is flagship one in the bunch. 5.5-inch AMOLED Display

Following the footsteps of the original Zenfone editions, the Asus Zenfone 4 Pro packs a 5.5-inch screen showing Full HD or 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 401ppi of pixel density. It’s surprising to see no bump in the resolution as it’s a flagship phone but 1080p is good enough. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass but we don’t know the exact version yet. Most of the phones are going for a bezel-less display look but Asus didn’t go for that look. It looks quite similar to the Asus Zenfone 3 but now there is a home button. Dual 12-MP + 16-MP Camera

It’s the camera of the Asus Zenfone 4 Pro that makes the phone worth checking out. The company mostly focused on the camera and the phone comes with dual 12-megapixel and 16-megapixel (50mm) camera on the back and an 8-megapixel front camera. The front camera is packing the Sony flagship IMX362 image sensor with surprisingly cool features like 10x total zoom capability, 8x light sensitivity, OIS and F1.7 aperture lens. To make sure the camera lenses does not get scratched easily, it is covered by sapphire glass.  Users can save image in RAW format as well and there is a Pro mode which will give users access to advanced manual controls. The front camera the Sony IMX319 image sensor and can help you to capture beautiful selfies in low light as well. For those of you who are interested to check out some more camera focused smartphones, there is the OnePlus 3T and Google Pixel XL. Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor

Most of the smartphone makers are going for the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 for its flagship device after the release of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The Asus Zenfone 4 Pro is no different and will be packing the latest Qualcomm processor with a whopping 6GB of RAM. There will be two storage options to choose from: 64GB and 128GB. Other notable features include: fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0, fast battery charging and 3600mAh battery.

The Asus Zenfone 4 Pro’s pricing and availability is still a mystery at this point. However, judging from the company’s pricing history, it will be definitely around 11500 EGP if not more. As the previous Asus Zenfone 3 showed up in August last year, it’s easy to guess that the new phone will be here sometimes in August or September, 2017.
